8.5. Governing law and jurisdiction This legal notice shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. Disputes arising in connection with this legal notice shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
8.6. Rules .
8.6.1. Please be respectful to your fellow members. This is a friendly environment; we wish to keep it that way so please treat others as you would like to be treated. Please do not post any messages that harass, insult, threaten or flame another member or guest.The moderators will ultimately decide if something is appropriate or not. We reserve the right to remove offensive posts without notice. Abusive behaviour will not be tolerated and your account may be suspended.
8.6.2. Do not make posts that could be considered libellous, defamatory, or posting merely to cause harm to another's business. Opinions are expected, but do not attack others with accusations of criminal activity unless this has been proven in a court of law.
8.6.3. Evading the auto-censor by using punctuation marks or purposefully misspelling words is considered an offence.
8.6.4. Please do not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, hateful, threatening, racist, discriminatory, or otherwise violate any local or international laws. This includes links in your signature, profile, bookmarks as well as posted images, photos and avatars. The moderators will ultimately decide if something is appropriate or not.
8.6.5. Any attempt to 'hijack' threads by posting off-topic will result in your post being removed. If you need to start a new thread then please do so, continuously breaking this important rule will result in infractions being given.
8.6.6. Do not share, trade, or distribute in any manner here, any copyright material, without the express written consent of the owner.
8.6.7. Please make titles that you give to posts as descriptive as possible, this will ultimately mean that more people will read your posts. Do not duplicate threads in different forums. Duplicate posts will be deleted or merged.
8.7. Do not dig up old threads unless it is a Sticky thread or you have something profound to add to the discussion. Consider that some of the active boards move more quickly than others, and would be more disrupted by digging up old threads; also consider that the purpose of some threads may be served more quickly than others. The key thing is that you should be contributing in an important fashion to the thread or re-triggering discussion for an important reason. If your post does not fit either of those categories, then avoid posting in a thread if, as a rule of thumb, the thread is around a fortnight or more dead or it has left the front page of the board.
8.8. Each member is allowed one login account. Registering with multiple accounts is not allowed.
8.9. No posts are allowed that are of a commercial nature. The lounge should be for debate and discussion not promotion.
8.10. Please do not post anything which can be considered to be libellous or damaging to any of the individuals or businesses that post on this forum.
8.11. Please remember that moderators are volunteer helpers that are here to ensure the forum runs smoothly. Please respect this if they have to contact you/edit/remove or add additional comments to your posts.
8.11.1. Abuse towards moderators will not be tolerated and may result in you being banned
8.11.2. Should you have any issues with a moderator you must contact the forum administrator.
8.11.3. Do not question or ignore Moderator instructions on the open Forum. Any queries about Moderators decisions must be conducted by PM to the Moderator involved, if the issue you have is not resolved to your satisfaction you can contact Admin. The same procedure is to be used in relation to Infractions.
8.11.4. What Super Moderators cannot do is offer board technical support. This is provided solely by Admin. If you have any technical issues with the forum or website then post your query in the Reporting Technical Issues section of the Forum or contact Admin.
8.11.5. Postings that are designed with the intention to drive traffic to a member's site will be removed or edited, as the moderator(s) feels appropriate.
8.12. Signatures:
8.12.1. Please keep signatures to a maximum of two lines.
8.12.2. Do not include large images or banners.
8.12.3. Do not include affiliate links in your signatures.
8.12.4. Do not increase the font size to more than the standard forum style.
8.13. We have a reward and infraction system in place. We have found historically that this works well at regulating members on the site and making sure that Infractions can be given by any moderator if a user breaks any of the rules above then they may be given an infraction.
8.13.1. More than 10 points in 30 days - posting rights will be removed.
8.13.2. Infraction points will last for 30 days and then they are automatically cleared.
8.14. Reputation points can be added or taken away by any of the members and represents a good indicator of the reputation of individual members of politic.co.uk.
8.15 Reputation points should be given to users who post constructive, well thought out and pertinent posts about relevant affiliate marketing topics.
8.16 No "Spamming". Also, please do not mass-PM or mass-email multiple members of this site the same message.
8.17 posts or signatures designed to direct traffic to a competing site are not allowed and will be edited/ deleted as appropriate and may result in punitive action being taken.
8.18 Please remember to respect other's privacy and please refer to the ‘Privacy statement'. In the public forum, do not post real names, email addresses, or other personal identifiers that may be considered privileged information. If these items are already publicly available, this shouldn't be a problem. But if these are from private correspondence, or from some user database, discretion is advised.
8.19 The moderating team reserve the right to edit, remove or put on moderation queue any post at any time.
8.20 We reserve the right to change the rules at any time without notice as the needs of the community develop.
9. Posting of copyrighted material - ensure the source is quoted and if featured on-line a link back to the article is referenced in your post. Also, do not post copies of postings/threads from other forums unless you have explicit permission to do so. When in doubt, ask.
10. Additional Rules for "The Other Place" ONLY:- These are THE ONLY RULES that apply in this board:
10.1. Post here at your own risk, those with sensitive natures are advised to stay away.

10.7. Please censor swear words in thread titles as they show up on the main page. Any swearing within posts is still fine; unfortunately, due to the language filter's global nature, it is still in place here. However, avoiding the language filter is perfectly acceptable in this board.
